Access requirements

Being in possession of a 3 year Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in humanities or social sciences preferentially in the following areas:

  • Classics
  • Ancient History
  • Archaeology or Cultural Heritage.

The eligibility can be fully assessed through evaluation of academic qualifications and admission interview

Students holding a Bachelors’ Degree in classes L-1, L-5, L-10 (DM 270/04) or classes 5, 13, 29 (DM 509/99) awarded by the Department of Humanities of the University of Pavia with a final grade of at least 90/110 and meet the language knowledge requirements can enroll in the Master Programme The Ancient Mediterranean World without taking the admission interview

Students must possess a B2 level of English proficiency. This can be demonstrated by either:

  • Holding a recognized English language certification (see the List of Accepted Certifications).

  • Completing at least 24 credits of English language courses at their home university.

Alternatively, a certificate issued by the University Language Center (CLA) is also accepted.

Note: Native English speakers are exempt from providing an English language certification.
