The international archaeological project at S. Vincenzo Stromboli (Aeolian Islands) offers four MedArch MA students the opportunity to undertake an internship during the 2026 excavation campaign (19 June–10 July), focusing on medieval and Roman remains within an interdisciplinary research framework.

The MedArch Faculty expresses solidarity with Iranian students and their families following the violent repression of recent demonstrations, sharing the University of Pavia’s commitment to support those in need.

Weekly post-excavation lab starts Jan 16, 2026 (Fridays, 2–7 pm) on Tell Semhani materials: digitalization, ceramic study, database updates, and collection cleaning.

A brief Induction Meeting for first-year students will take place on Wednesday, November 26th at 5:30 PM in the Bottigella classroom. The Medarch team will present the study plan, courses, evaluation methods, fieldwork activities, and internship opportunities. A short informal gathering at Collegio Ghislieri will follow.
