SABAP-NO and MAVO
The University of Pavia and the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage for the Provinces of Biella, Novara, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola e Vercelli (SABAP-NO) have a long-standing relationship which offers numerous learning opportunities for the students of Pavia. These experiences include participation in the ongoing landscape survey project in Livorno Ferraris, as well as laboratory analysis and ceramic drawing at the Archeological Museum of Western Vercelli (MAVO). The partnership with SABAP-NO has also provided opportunities at the superintendency in Novara, where students gained first hand experience in examining material remains from excavations in Vercelli and its surrounding area, learning how to analyze and draw ceramics from PhD candidates and professional archeologists who are experts in the field.
