Since 2023, the Department of Humanities of the University of Pavia has signed an official
agreement with the Direzione Regionale Musei Lombardia, in order to formalise the ongoing
collaboration between our University and the National Museums and Archaeological Parks of the
UNESCO Site n. 94 "Rock Art of Valle Camonica". This agreement is linked to the field research
(i.e. excavations and surveys in the “Quattro Dossi Project” – Dos dell’Arca prehistoric and
protohistoric site) carried out by our University since 2016. The agreement provides for joint
activities in the field of research and promotion of the archaeological heritage, in particular at the
MuPRE - Museo Nazionale della Preistoria della Valle Camonica (Capo di Ponte, BS): it
includes both the study of the archaeological collections of the Museum and the research activities
carried out in the two National Parks of rock engravings, Parco Nazionale delle Incisioni
Rupestri di Naquane and Parco Archeologico Nazionale dei Massi di Cemmo, both located in
Capo di Ponte, in the heart of the UNESCO Prehistoric Site no. 94. This collaboration includes
internship opportunities for MA students in "The Ancient Mediterranean World: History,
Archaeology and Art", who are welcome to collaborate with the Management of the Museums and
Parks. Knowledge of Italian is required.

To qualify, internships must have a minimum duration of 75 hours.
