The University of Pavia, in collaboration with the ISAW (New York University), will conduct its first archaeological excavation season at the site of Türkmen-Karahöyük (Konya, South-Central Anatolia). The project forms part of the Türkmen-Karahöyük Archaeological Project (TKAP), directed by M.R. Massa and J. Osborne.

The 2026 excavation will focus on investigating the settlement phases dating to the Late Bronze and Iron Ages. Fieldwork will take place between 15th June and 15th July 2026.

Two student positions are available for participation in the excavation. Interested students are invited to send an email to Dr. Giacomo Casucci (giacomo.casucci01@universitadipavia.it) expressing their motivation to participate (in no more than 100 words) and attaching a CV.
