opportunities for students
@pavia_at_rome. Public archaeology at San Vito, Esquiline, Rome. Fieldwork and laboratory activities
All the students interested to participate in the project are invited on March 3rd at 11am in Aula Carruba, San Tommaso Building.
On this occasion the results of the 2025 campaign will be presented. At the same time, the future 2026 activities, scheduled for June, will be illustrated: digital documentation of the remains and work on the finds, and eventually archive work.
In addition to fieldwork, the project aimed, and still aims, to bring archaeology to everyone: the residents of the neighborhood, for a “proximity” archaeology that enters into everyday life, but also occasional visitors and tourists, to whom the students themselves provide explanations in various
languages.
