The University of Pavia and the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage for the Provinces of Biella, Novara, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola e Vercelli (SABAP-NO)have a long-standing relationship which offers numerous learning opportunities for the students of Pavia. 
These experiences include laboratory analysis, restoration lab with Dr. Mario Colella and ceramic drawing with Alyssa Schrag, PhD student, at the Archeological Museum of Western Vercelli (MAVO). 
Students will gain first hand experience in examining material remains from excavations in Vercelli and its surrounding area, learning how to analyze and draw ceramics from PhD candidates and professional archeologists who are experts in the field as well as restoration experiences with Dr. Mario Colella. These labs, to be held on Wednesday and Fridays, during the months of March and April, 9 to 5, will give credits recognized as field activities.
