This workshop explores writing and communication practices between Syria and Anatolia in the transition from the Late Bronze to the Early Iron Age, with particular attention to texts, scripts, political and cultural interaction, and material contexts.

Bringing together scholars from different fields, the programme addresses topics ranging from scribal traditions and multilingualism to monumentality, administrative practices, and regional trajectories in a period of major transformation.

The workshop will be held at Collegio Ghislieri, Aula Barbara Rossi, on 25–26 May 2026.
